Gawker suggests some music for your listening pleasure while our economy takes a nosedive into the new Great Depression. Their "Depression Playlist" is satisfactory (Bowie's "Always Crashing in the Same Car" is a fitting inclusion), but I think the commenters hit the mark even better, with songs by Jimi, Sam Cooke, and Gillian Welch that very may well have been about our addiction to consumerism/the shit hitting the fan.
As for me, I think I'll continue listening to more of the same of what I've always been listening to. Listening to a lot of Metric, obvis.
