When he's not singing and playing guitar along with Jack White in the band, The Raconteurs, Brendan Benson [pictured] is making fine music of his own as a solo artist. Newsweek recently caught up with the avid storyteller, and Benson reports that a new album is in the works for next year. I saw him a couple of years ago in concert, when he was touring in support of his splendid record, The Alternative to Love. He's amazing.
